I did today, and it wouldn't have happened, but they're doing some work on our pumps where I work, so I couldn't get gas like I had planned. Luckily, it ran out only a mile or so from the next store. How far have you had to walk?

never in my own vehicle..i did once in a company car. I was delivering auto parts all over town all morning and no one ever told me that the gas gauge was broke and it was perpetually stuck on 1/2 tank mark.. I just thought I was getting really good gas mileage. The whole story of the rest of that day is pretty interesting too but very long...maybe some other time...

Yes! When I was a teen, I borrowed my dads car.
He told me it was almost empty. I was on my way to the gas station, almost made it. The car stopped in the middle of a major intersection. I sat there for a second and had no idea what to do. Two guys came out of nowhere and pushed me. When I bought my own car, I always filled at half tank.

Never happened to me. I live in the middle of no where. The closest neighbor is 5 miles away. So I always make sure I have gas in my car.

I'm vegetarian Sweetie, we never run out of gas!
I'm told I'm full of hot air when I talk too, but I've never run out of fuel whilst driving, though most of my previous cars were happy to call in sick at the most inconvenient times causing me to have to walk to the stables to see to the horses. The yard is a couple of miles away, through lonely woods, across the valley...

its only happened twice, luckily i was a couple houses away from a friends and they brought me to a g station and the second time i was with a friend on a paper route when it happened. had to walk quite a ways and i wasn't the one driving and it wasn't my car; that time sucked the most because it was winter and it was like 3 am or something crazy like that
