The appeal is that we are watching everyday people (kind of) all vying for the big prize and what they do to achieve it...I find it hard to believe that these people can get so used to the cameras that they act so stupidly and rude forgetting that we are seeing almost their every move...I like Big Brother and Real World sometimes, but the others are way too cutthroat for me...I think as long as the networks have an audience, they are here to stay....

I'm not really a fan of reality tv either, although there are a few shows that I like to watch, like...dare I say...American Idol, Rock Star (INXS & Supernova...who will be next?) and a couple of the new prime-time game shows. The singing ones appeal to me because I love to sing...the game shows because I love to imagine that I could be on one and win some big bucks!

There are many reality shows that a lot of people watch and as long as these shows get ratings they will keep em' coming...plus think of how much money the networks are saving by not having to pay real actors? Giving away a million or two per season is nothing compared to what some stars have been paid Per Episode!

Because you can enter the lives of these people without looking like Peeping Toms or perverts. The prediction........ it will slowly go away. Seems like more game shows are coming now rather than Reality TV. People are starting to complain that it's not good anymore so I am hoping that works. Also we know it's not real. It's all fake.

I thought the whole reality TV craze was going to end a long time ago, but they proved me wrong. I don't think it can last much longer though, they have already done everything known to man kind, even stuff where you question why in the world would you do that. But as long as people watch it, it will stay on.

Some people like reality TV for almost the same reason some people like soap operas. It compensates for the lack of excitement in their own lives. Plus, things are a lot funnier when they supposedly actually happened.
P.S. - I am a fan of GOOD reality TV.

As a true reality tv fan I can safely say reality tv is (hopefully) here to stay. The "unscripted" drama is fantastic. And reality tv competitions are amazing, bringing about some of the most talented people ever. Also you get to see Paris Hilton dancing with herself in the mirror, and that brilliant Nick Lachey in all his glory.
