No, I just forget them, no really I try not to make promises I will not respect

No in our family we have a pact I know in reality that kids and adults lie but our policy has always been it is one thing to lie and mom(me) will live with that but if you promise and it is a lie then trust is broken. I have gotten the truth from my kids so many times that way if you say you were --?-or where ever or I ask were you smoking a cigarette these are just examples and you answer then I will say do you promise that is the truth they do have the freedom to not answer but they can not lie on a promise our youngest usually just gives up and starts laughing gives me a kiss and says gotta go we were trying to get her to stop smoking and she kept saying she was( she is 2 months pregnant now so she did quit) I never make a promise I cannot know I can keep for sure If I promise to do something then it is with the stipulation that I will do it unless I am in the hospital or dead sorry so long Peace be with you
