As a loyal fan of the Giants I must say I'm sad to see him go. But as a fan I must also say I cant wait to see him hurt his arm again and waste Blue Dodger Money. Sorry Jason, your a good guy, but my hatred for the Dodgers is deeper then your pockets.

A nice pick up for the Dodgers now they need to get Gagne back and healthy at a reduced salary. The Dodgers are on the up and will make a serious challange for the World Series next year. They are stockpiled with young talent also so look for them to make another big signing probably via a trade. Manny would be my guess.

I know Schmidt's a traitor, I thought he was going to the Cubs, now all of a sudden the Dodgers show interest in him now he's accepted the deal. Dodgers are ego-mainiacs you know, first they got Jose Cruz, then Brett Tomko, now Schmidt, it's all getting crazy. I hope he has a slump with the Dodgers because the Dodgers aren't right for him. I don't mind w/ any other team, but the Dodgers, no way!! :C

Going!! Going!! GONE!! to the Dodgers. For the money he will be making, he can tolerate the boos at San Francisco.

Who the hell cares about what fans he is going to recieve at ONE stadium? That is one out of so many stadiums. Do you know how much MORE money he is making on his new team? You Giants did not treat him right, money wise, that is why he came with the Dodgers.

Money talks. If the Giants were really interested in keeping him there wouldn't have been any drama. The home team always has options before free agency kicks in.

Has to be said, it's all about the Benjamins. Mariano Rivera would bail to the Blue Jays if they gave him 47 mil for 3 years
