Saddam was tried for killing 140 people during the Anfal campaign in Northern Iraq.

Now, 600,000 Iraqis are dead, and almost 2,900 Marines dead, and counting. Who do you think will seek justice for that?

Enough talk about whether Saddam should be executed or not. Iraq is a failed state and will be divided into 3 states. The Shias are reigning in and Iran sets to be dominant in the region. Iraq's southern region is rich in oil reserves.

The consequences of an Iran-Saudi war are incalculable.

OH BOY ................... I think that Saddam Hussain should be released and put back into power. He was hunted down under false pretences, and his country invaded illegally. At least he ruled with an iron fist and kept peace in the middle east, which thousands of troops have failed to do, and which is now common knowledge that bush has failed in Iraq. However, I do not condone the way that Saddam Hussain treated certain sects in Iraq, but after saying that, his most serious crime was the gassing of 150 plus rebels, needless to say, since the illegal occupation of Iraq, thousands of innocent people, including women and children have been killed, and our brave men and women troops have needlessly been killed. This is one hell of a war crime, shared by all the heads of states that supported Bush and sent troops into Iraq. If Saddam is to be put to death, then I say let all these heads of state die with him, they are just as guilty as he, if not more so. Restoring Saddam to power, and withdrawing the troops is the only way I can see to there ever being peace in the middle east. OK, execute Saddam Hussain, and all the in fighting continues by the various factions who are causing terror and havoc today, in a bid to gain power. And who knows, the next leader of Iraq may well be a threat to world peace, and manufacture weapons of mass destruction, it has been proven that the worlds super power can do nothing to stop them, Hence Iran and Korea playing with atomic and nuclear weapons. Well that is my 2 cents worth, and I am ready to be slammed by all the pro execute Saddam Hussain'ers.

He will be hung by the neck until dead, dead, dead. He doesn't have very long now either. Will he understand why? I seriously doubt it. I'm sure he knew how to run his country better than we do. It gets more and more obvious those people over there are sick in the head. Anything less than a maniac at helm, probably isn't going to work. Should he be executed? I think every war mongering killer should, that includes him. At the same time I regret his death. Every man's death demeans us as human beings

No.

He should be put back into his position as leader of the sovereign nation of Iraq and issued an apology.

So should Slobodon Milosovic (too bad he's dead).

OK, I don't really think this way, but we made some serious mistakes in our handling of the "war on terror".

Why the heck did we depose Saddam when our real enemy is radical Islam? Shouldn't we have let him run his course and kill our enemies for us? What were we thinking?

Well of course Saddam* should be executed. It would only be right after all that he has done to innocent victims for years.

The only other option would be to imprison him at taxpayer's expense for the rest of his life and I think that is too lenient.

What about his crimes?

i just cant wrap my head around the fact that you should kill a captured leader of a country. Like he makes the laws and he rules it. No one else. SO maybe we dont agree with his way, well its his way in his land. We cant force our laws on some one else that has their laws. His law says he is above the law. As harsh as it is, he is. He shouldnt be killed in my opinion.
