And why? Any redeeming features? Or at least one great town/site?

I'll go with New Mexico, although I've never lived there.

In terms of scenery, places like Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, Cloudcroft, and Bandolier National Monument are all exquisite and remarkably different from one another. And the citizens of New Mexico do a decent job of keeping their state clean.... the landscape is relatively unsullied by billboards and litter compared to many other states.

There's also plenty in the way of art, culture, history and science. Places like Taos, Santa Fe, and the VLA telescope field come to mind immediately.

Of course, the flip side is it's expensive to live there and there's virtually no job market. Which explains why I live in Vegas.

Oregon!

We actually have all four seasons here, not just cold and hot like some others. We have the Oregon Coast to go and visit or even live at (I believe it has the most beautiful beaches of anywhere). We don't have tornadoes, hurricanes, major floods major earthquakes all the time (those are rare around here) like other states do. The majority of the people are kind. We have trees that stay green year round. It is a clean state, especially on the freeways.

That's an impossible question to answer. Most people on here will say a state that they have a bias towards (hometown, vacations, loved ones). All states have their good and bad qualities.
