"Primal Fear" would be tops! He is so excellent and convincing in this! It is chilling when he is being interviewed by his psychiatrist and his dual personality comes out! I love the ending and the way he sticks it to Richard Gere! He is so great and spookily real in this role, I left the movie with a feeling of fear! He is truly a great actor that I think is one of the best of our time! The next 2 roles that would be a close second would be Derek in "American History X" and in "Fight Club."

There was a time when Edward Norton could do no wrong...
Primal Fear....American History X...Larry Flint...Rounders ...

Then it got a little thin...until "Red Dragon"

But how could you go against "Fight Club"...?

His psychosis is something we all, as an audience, identify with. I am rooting for him throughout the film, and the end result is mesmerizing...

Great actors goes through a vast array of emotions and an even larger array of characters...

I believe him when he speaks...he swears very well... he delivers his lines as if they are simply rolling off his tongue...and only Morgan Freeman is better at the voice - over...

Edward Norton needs to get back to these earlier, grittier roles...

Just my Opinion

American History X

It's a very intense movie and roll...and to play such a complex character and make it believable...he did a freaking amazing job. I can't imagine it'd be easy to play that kind of a character, who at first is so ignorant, but then the character learns a life lesson the hard way and comes out clean. To play such a character, you have to get into the heads of those people, to understand the point of view, and then to understand what would make him change and WANT to change. He really just did so well on it.

Monty in 25th Hour. He plays a drug dealer that is about to do seven years in jail and the movie is about his last day of freedom. I really like the character because instead of him trying to figure out who ratted on him and him seeking revenge, he wants to celebrate with his two best friends and his girl. The end is my favorite part and I don't want to spoil it if you've never seen it. And if you haven't, you should. It's directed by Spike Lee. nThere's a reference to American History X too if you can catch it.

The Italian Job. Even though he played an excellent bad guy, I liked the way he got what was coming to him in the end.
