I'm wearing a black halter dress for Christmas (more detail: it's a lace dress that comes to the knee, has an empire waistline with bunched fabric that is held together with a vertical rectangle rhimstone piece) and I would like to wear a sweater with it, but I don't know what shape/fabric/colour/etc.
Could you help me out? Link for picture example would be a great help.

Go to supre, at the moment they have really cute 3/4 cardigans that would loook really cute with a dress, as for the colour, I'll leave that too everyone else!

my wife always wears a "shawl" (a big rectangle, with fringe)
she usually gets hers at TJ maxx, or marshalls. The Dress Barn also has a good selection.

So i'm thinkn that maybe an oversized wrap sweater would look really cute, not like a granny sweater but like a silky wine colored one with 2 shades of wine? hows it sound?
