if you did not buy your cellphone thru a plan offered by a cellular company then there is no need to unlock your cell phone. since you are already using it for your smart roaming then i believe that your phone is all set to be use here in the philippines. unlocking cell phones can be done easily even in la union. no need to go to greenhills. baguio will be much closer if ever no cell repair shops in your place.

If the smart sim card works in your unit, it will definitely works here. No need to unlock it. Advice them to use same provider. Use smart sim also because it might be locked on other provider.

If your smart roaming sim card worked with that phone, then you dont have to worry because it is unlocked already.
