'm planning to transfer to a new school for Fall 2007. I went to a community college for my first semester, and plan to aplly to schools this year.My first semester at the community college i have all A's and plan on a 3.8 gpa or higher. I did not do to well in highschool, due to the lack of effort, i got a 2.9 gpa, im going into law so im wondering if i have a shot at these schools, or recommend some schools i should go to, im in michigan. thanks.

With that high a GPA, you should be able to get into most, if not all, those schools.

Law schools don't ask what your high school GPA is. Just keep doing well and you'll be fine.

As a transfer student it depends alot on the individual program. I attended the university of Michigan, as did my sister, who transferred in. She didn't have the best grades from her first year in school, but had great grades from WCC. She transferred into the Hygiene program and ended up graduating well. I know that students transferring either across campus, or from other schools into the Division of Kinesiology where I graduated from, had much higher standards to meet. The nursing program at UM is relatively easy to transfer in to, so as I said, it depends on what college/program you plan on transferring into. Best of luck though.
