You are out of gas and your food and drink only can last for 1 meal. The temperature will drop to low 20s at night.
There is no cell phone reception in the mountain area.
There are literally NO other cars in the same route.
How would you handle this situation and manage to survive?

the low 20s aren't enough to kill you. First, make a clear signal so that if helicopters come they will see you. Until they come (they will come it's just a matter of them seeing you) find water and then food. Then stay in the car, but do NOT turn on the heater because it will literaly kill you with all the carbon monoxide build up. If your car has OnStar then use that. Good luck!

First of all you shouldn't be in that situation. If you are traveling in an area where sudden snow storms are not rare, you should be prepared for the worst. Heck, unless you live in LA you should be prepared during the winter anyway. You should have emergency food, plenty of warm blankets and make sure you stay on well traveled roads. Other than that my advice would be to kiss your a** goodbye, cause you're gonna freeze to death before morning.

i hope this never happens to me but. i would have a blanket and a cig lighter. i would wrap up in the blanket and sleep for as long as i could. then i would search for something to burn to keep warm. i wouldnt take but a bite of the food-drink but every few hours. if no one came along after awhile. id burn the car, keep warm from it, then start walking

bed down for the ight, just leave a window barely cracked, eat 1/4 of the food, and wait until day break to start walking.

Normally I would say walk and find help or civilization but recently hearing about the man who left his family in Oregon to find help and died changed my mind. I would stay in the car and snuggle with my family for body heat and hope and hope someone finds me.
