That's too funny.

I don't think it matters. Nowadays people aren't so caught up on a name's meaning. Especially since women are MAKING UP baby names. Soon it'll be considered rude to ask what someone's name means just because their mom might have gotten creative.

That said, name her something that's special to YOU. Is it still special now that you know it means 'tired bald army of elves'? If so, who cares? Go right ahead. Just don't run around telling people what it means.

And if she finds out later, you'll have a good laugh. Tell her something like "Well, you sure felt like an ARMY OF ELVES before you came out. And you were definitely BALD. Come to think of it, I was really TIRED for nine months, too." Kind of fits better than naming her after the sky or a virtue, huh? ; )

I think that would be very cute. I would also love to know what name this is!

My mom based my name on meaning - "feminine little star" nice right? Yeah, I got stuck with Pauline Esther. Pauline is OK but Esther? And the nickname Polyester was all too easy.

You've gotten me curious about the name. All I could find with those meanings were Aubrey Leah Sakora. What is it? I also wanted to mention that "bald" originally meant "Shining white"- that's why it's called a BALD eagle- so you have "Tired white army of elves". If it is Aubrey it also so means "Elf power." Oh well good luck!

LMAO!!!

I don't think most people know what their names mean, or what their favorite names mean for that matter.

What is wrong with a tired bald army of elves? At least she will be strong and able to deal with difficulty!

No kids at school will tease her based on the meaning of her name, but as she gets older she might want to know. Girls are much more "into" such things as a name's meaning than boys. This is most likely because she herself will be thinking about what she wants to name her own children- even way before she conceives them. If you're really stuck on the name, go for it. Or, explore your options. There are a million and one names out there, and you have 9 months to pick something perfect, so choose wisely!

Tired army of bald elves eh? That sounds interesting! Please tell us what the name is? I am so curious!

I don't think this should deter you from giving your daughter this name you love! I think its really interesting that it has that funny meaning!
You could write a children's book and dedicate it to her. "The story of the Tired, Bald, Army of Elves."

Most people don't know what a name means. Most don't care. Cameron means crooked nose and Caleb means dog. But that dosen't stop people from using them. As long as you like the name the meaning doesn't matter. What is the name?
