This is a psych question so I want your first reaction (no "right "answers) and I would appreciate it if you did not read all the other answers until after you answer. I have to do a survey and I'm being a little lazy ;-)

My cats, my purse (keys are in it), and I'd make sure my husband is awake. He has thumbs, so he can get himself out!

This is a great forum for a survey. Very random for a question like this. I would take my Rolex, portable hard drive, and whatever art I could carry. Frankly, whatever has a lot of money wrapped up in it. Though I would leave the dead hooker.

My kids...if my purse was handy as it usually has it's place by the exit I'd grab it and the cordless/cell and call 911 on the way out. Nothing else matters.
I love my cat, but I wouldn't risk going in after her...if she's smart she'll be right behind us. Sorry but my kids need their mom.

My pet hamster and my CDs. Id grab both right away and shove the CDs into my hamsters cage. I might also grab my bass guitar yeah id grab that too and sling it round my shoulder

My photo-albums. (losing everything never happened to me, but I strongly believe that, should it happen, I would find comfort by looking at all my pics.....in my moments of despair it would be kind of proof to me that I really lived already beFORE I lost everything, know what I mean?)
