I've often thought that if something like this did happen, that a big number of "Modern" people just would not make it, or they would becomke completely different from their former selfs.

I know I definately have the attitude. I'm ex-army, and an eskimo, from Alaska, of course, so I'm very confident that I would survive. Personally, I'd head back north to Alaska. As long as one can make a fire, catch a fish, rabbit, squirrel, etc,, gut and clean, then cook, one can and will survive. If one has too, eat grubbs, snake, worms, etc.

This is a common fantasy with a lot of people. I don't think it would be as heroic as the movies make out. Why don't you take a trip to some completely inhospitable land, preferably where there is radiation poisoning. Go completely unprepared, and see how you make out. Then come back and enjoy what little time you have left.

I'd head to island with about 30-50 people to build an utopia and to avoid the riffraff who would inevitably spring up after a disaster like that.

I have a gun cabinet, a biiiggg dog, candles, forest animals if needed for food, a wood stove for heat and can cook on it if need be, and a well.

I also have several full book shelves. So, hopefully reason would prevail and I wouldn't have to worry and would be reading instead of answering these questions or watching Law and Order...
