I believe "emo" is a derogatory term coined by teenagers. Therefore, I do not use it. It's merely another way for losers to judge others by exterior alone. Yaaay... more stereotypes...

I have a 17yr. old son who talks to me a-lot about his friends and he uses that term for a few of them. And another one he uses is Scene kid
most of the others I am familiar with..
To tell ya the truth when I first heard both of them I instantly thought gay! I know that is judging but the names just make me think that and then I met a couple of the emo friends and I found out a-lot of them are bisexual..That still never really told me anything..I guess next time I see one of the guys I will ask them!
Don't get me wrong I see nothing wrong with being gay..My brother is..I just don't understand the bisexual thing..especially with guys!
I know times have changed but back when I was in school if someone would have called me emo or a scene kid I would of been offended!
Let me know what it truly means!

Emo is just another stereotype. The 'plastic' image of what emo is is dark, artsy, depressed kids who cut themselves, wear their hair in their eyes and go around sighing, listening to 'emo' music, dressing a certain way.

Emo is short for 'emotional', I think, so thats where the term comes from. I think its just another stereotype, and that it'll wear off after a while...

Don't worry about what other people call you. Just be yourself and you'll be fine :)

I think emo is a very misunderstood label.

It was originally started as a type of music(emotional) back in the day, but now seems to be more used to describe people, more than its original use.

The general public just shows extreme ignorance when their definition of emo is "sad kids that cut themselves"

you're accurate, foodstuff "chains" are somewhat foodstuff webs, with predator/prey interactions among and between tiers. Apex predators do exist in organic structures although. In India and parts of Asia as an social gathering, tigers are (or were) on the properly of the foodstuff information superhighway. interior the oceans (searching on the geographical area) both orca or large white sharks occupy the apex predator position. EDIT: As Skookum suggested, creation of an unique predator into an environment can "create" an apex predator. right here in New Zealand as an social gathering we haven't any interior sight mammalian predators. The creation of stoats, cats and dogs right now placed those species on the properly of interior sight foodstuff webs. EDIT back: appears like there's slightly confusion around the definition of "predator". A predator is an animal which hunts and kills yet another animal for foodstuff. The operative words listed right here are "kill" and "foodstuff". Viruses and bacteria are pathogens, not predators: those use hosts to copy their genetic fabric, not for foodstuff (and frequently do not kill the host). Parasites (leeches, mosquitos etc) do feed on their hosts yet ideally do not kill them. the social gathering of the dolphins torpedoing the shark is protective behaviour to guard the pod: they'd no purpose of eating the shark and were likely attempting to emphasize it off somewhat than specifically attempting to kill it. this is not predation.

me too. I think it's a good thing, though some say it as an insult. It just means emotional. Like the music that is all sweet and sad, and makes you laugh and cry, and think. it's all that kind of deep stuff. I think it's a compliment. you emo chick.

Emo isn't what it used to be. But now people use it to describe someone who is emotional. So really I guess everyone who has emotions can fall into that category.
