i dont believe everything i see on tv but, i saw on csi that they tried to get finger prints off of a plastic bag. is that possible?

I would say yes considing that plastic is one of the best surfaces for capturing finger prints. Everything the CSI actors do is supposedly discussed with real forensic scientists first so processes and procedures are authentically simulated, so I would assume so.

any surface your finger oils can stick to you will leave a print.
plastics tend to allow oils to stay in place, touch plexiglass or even a baggie. Lifting a print off a bag can be tricky, dusting and seeing one is not.

With today's technology I believe it can happen, they say when you wear rubber gloves you can leave your prints in side?so why not a plastic bag???????

I know it won't make any difference to anyone who commits murder during a heated row or in self defence, but - I guess if you're a cold blooded murderer - it kinda makes you think twice!

I think they can'y remove it but duplicate it rather is posiible...
