Maybe not his most popular but I liked him in the movie Serpico.Where he portrayed an idealistic, young New York police officer who faced down corrupt fellow officers. He portrayed an actual person I think thats one of the reasons I liked it and I also read the book which was great. It came out in 1973 and received good ratings.
