two things struck me.
First If you are in the same class he is then, you are on the same mental wavelength. In otherwords why in the world did you go running to teacher. the only difference between this boy and other boys is that he cant hear. Talk to him and tell him truth. He is only crippled by the people who treat him as a crippled.

Second, calling him "this special ed" was very imature and hateful. If that is the kind of person you are then the day you had an accident is the day that your friends turned and laughed at the gimp. Special Ed is really a vicious nickname. If you dont know his name, learn itr otherwise you ought to know you sound like a really hateful and imature girl.

If he is slow, I understand. However if he is in same class as you then he has to be as smart as you. righ. People in special education sometimes are as smart as regular kids, they just need special accomadations. For example, a deaf student may make you look like your mentally challnged in comparison.. they may be doing Calculus while you are failing your pre algebra. the only difference is that special education students learn differenly and some are not able to handle the physical side of school, getting to classes etc. I would be EMBARASSED to be callin a kid special ed who was in the same class as you. You never even thought about that did you?

Be nice, he knows. Maybe he just thinks your a nice person. do you want to prove him wrong? treat him like any other boy. No talking in class and tell him that you are just friends and you dont hold hands with guys who are just friends. dont treat him like he is dumb or "special". He is human.and YOU be human too.

i was in the same shoes you are in a few years ago in High School. we had a special ed student tony that was totally in love with me. at first i would brush him off because i thought that i was so much cooler then he was. a few years later i was dating a boy named Steve Normal to the eye lol. an his grandma had passed an at the services i saw Tony , it was Tony's aunt that had passed upon talking to him he told his mom an dad that we were both engaged Steve thought it was adorable that i played along with it. his father an mother degraded him saying why would a girl like me ever date a guy like him. i took that in offense he was sweet in nature how can someone pass judgment on someones medical problems that they have no control over. but i sat down with Tony an told him that i like him alot as a friend but not as a boyfriend, an i don't feel it would be fair to Steve if i dated him. I met another girl that he is in school with an set them up they are so adorable together. an they been together now for 4 years me an tony still talk as normal friends remember he has emotions also. you might have to remind this young man a few times but if it fails talk to a principal an tell him what more you can do or a guidance counselor

I agree with Bama.

I suppose that you could hand sign him the bird, but that wouldn't be nice.
