I usually have quite regular and normal periods. I have had stress and life changes before, but those times my period stopped completely. Once for four months. But now I'm so confused because it's lasting so long. The last time I had sex was the first weekend of November. I started my period a week and a half later. Started off as just spotting, which I feared I was pregnant. Slowly it came on a little heavier, but now it's light and going on nearly three weeks.. Completely unsure and somewhat scared to know if something's really wrong.

Have you contacted your physician? I know there's other reasons for long periods as well. Perhaps endometriosis, or maybe you stopped taking the pill or something? I had no periods myself a few years back after I was hospitalized, so female health is definitely affected by life changes. Good luck to you!

You don't say what your age is, but I'm 45 and this past year I had similar problems. They put me through several tests. I hope you have insurance, because a GYN is going to do bloodwork, a physical exam, an internal ultrasound, and possibly a biopsy. They couldn't find anything with these tests in my case, but they did give me medication that stopped the bleeding and then they scheduled a D&C. When doing the D&C it revealed I had several polyps that could not be detected on the ultrasound due to the thickened lining of my uterus. They removed the polyps and I opted for the NovaSure procedure to be done, which burns the lining of the uterus. Best decision I ever made. Had it done in September and so far . . . . no more periods! Yay!

You may have had a miscarriage, I had one years ago & didn't realize what it was (I just thought it was a long period) until I went to the doctor. Remember no birth control is 100% effective except sterilization.
You're likely fine even it it is a miscarriage, I didn't have to have any other procedure other than a check up.

there is not any precise entire of hours a three week-previous toddler could sleep. All toddlers are diverse. some choose 2 hours greater sleep and others choose a million hour much less sleep. yet in thought, a three week-previous toddler could sleep a minimum of 20 hours consistent with 24 hours and in specific circumstances must be unsleeping 30 minuter after feeding. As your toddler become older, you will journey that he will sleep much less and be greater unsleeping. I experienced the comparable with my daughter (now 3 months previous) while she became into 2 - 3 weeks previous. take excitement in existence including your little prince!

Have you done ANYTHING different with your birth control lately? Doubling up on packs of Ortho Tri-Cyclen caused me to have a month-long period.

You may have uterine fibroids; but I'm not a doctor. Go see the gyn before you pass out from a low blood count

How old are you? If something is really wrong, you need to get it checked. The longer you wait, if it is a problem, it will only be worse for you. And not knowing is more stressfull then knowing.

i would call your gynecologist and ask one of the nurses in the office if she thinks you should come in and get checked out... at least that way you wouldn't be stuck w/ unneccasry co-pays or out of pocket expenses. just my 2cents.
