I know that Gustavus Adolphus College (in MN) just got rid of their ACT and SAT requirement. Now its just optional. They argue that the SAT and ACT really have very low correlation with college performance. I know there are others, I just dont remember which ones.

GAC is ranked like 70th or something like that in Liberal Arts Colleges.

Is there a particular reason why you don't want to take either the SAT or ACT? The top ranked schools are all going to require it b/c they'll be unable to differentiate btw applicants without a standardized test score. If you have a learning disorder, the testing agency will make accomodations for you.

You can look into liberal arts colleges. They can be highly regarded despite not being ranked against schools like the Ivy League schools.

I attended the University of Michigan with just the ACT. If its still the same as when I was enrolling in college most of the Midwest schools accepted the ACT, with most of the East and West coast schools accepting the SAT. Since UM is considered one of the public Ivies, and is ranked in the top 25 undergrad programs in the nation, I'd say there are ranked schools that accept things other than the SAT.

Many of the fine universities in the midwest use the ACT instead of the SAT. Maybe you'd have a better chance, since the ACT measures more than just reading and math.
