If they have set up logs to monitor you, yes they can. I always error on the side of caution and make sure everything I do is something that I wouldn't care if my work saw.

If it's a company laptop, and they take it back, then yes they can. Unless you are very good at covering your traces, that is.

However, most companies won't expend the effort unless they suspect you of something like looking at child porn on the internet.

There is equipment that can retrieve data erased from your hard drive. If they want the info badly enough yes they can. the software on the laptop makes no difference. If you wander around the net it will be on you hard drive and it can be found even if you erase.

It all depends on the software that is installed on your laptop. If they wanted to, it would be fairly easy. If you work for a small to mid size company, i doubt they would do this. we cant really answer your question without knowing the contents of the software installed on your pc.
