Right, and what the heck is going to evolve from the monkeys and apes we have now? And has anyone told the monkeys and apes that they're being replaced? Again?

Man didnt evolve from monkey's and apes. Monkeys, apes and men evolved from the same distant ancestors. So over the course of thousands and thousands of years, this ancestor (astrolopithicus (sp?)) evolved in different ways depending on what nature demanded of them. Think of it like a family tree. We're on one end, and monkey's are on the other. Genetically, they're mans cousin. To put it very simply.

When a species gradually changes over time, or evolves, it is really only mutating. Generally, a mutation that occurs in evolution is one that helps the animal. In example, a monkey could have mutated with stronger leg muscles, gradually adding on to the current muscular definitions of man. The unmutated animals of the species still live because all they did is give birth to the mutated animal.
Edit: Whoah, sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't realize this question involved religion.

We did not evolve from monkeys and apes. Monkeys and apes were created by the same creator, but did not create us alike.

actualy the seperation occured before humans and monkeys and apes appeared, from some earlier beings some how seperated by, who knows, land mass seperation, or glacial activity, and evolving seperatly into two simular, yet different types of creatures. There is supposedly only one chromosomes difference between humans and chimpanzees.

Humans, apes, and monkeys evolved from a common ancestor millions of years ago. Apes and monkeys eventually split from the evolutionary tree. Just like apes and monkeys, humans are primates.

Because the monkeys didn't pass their exit exams and never graduated, so they had to stay monkeys.
