Possibly as an at-large team. Since Ohio State doesn't play in their conference they still wouldn't have played in the Big-12 championship thus not being eligable for an automatic bid.

Chances are it still would have been Ohio State and Florida if that were the only difference through the season. Now if momentum plays a factor, Texas may win out, win big 12 and be in the title. If only change in season is Ohio State losing to Texas early in the year, they then go on to win out, them and Florida are still #1 and 2 in the nation. Michigan goes into the Ohio State game #1 and undefeated, then lose and Ohio State jumps ahead of them. Florida still goes past Michigan and USC because of the losses. This goes to show that you need to have games at the end of the year. Big 10 hurts because they don't play a championship game. If Michigan beats Ohio State in a rematch in the Big 10 Championship, you'd be more likely to see a 3rd game tiebreaker in the BCS Championship game and Florida is outside looking in because let's face it, they aren't as good as Michigan or State.
