More people know answers in dumbass questions then in the intelligent ones. Also, peeps want quick points and smartass answers are always quicker than intelligent ones?

Most people in Yahoo Answers are not willing to invest the time and thought to write out an intelligent answer to an intelligent question.... there are some, but I think the majority of folks here are just here out of boredom. They want to do it quick and without much effort... that's the internet for you, though :P

More people know the anwsers to the stupid questions, and most of those questions can be anwsered in one sentence or less! They either don't know the anwser to, or don't want to take their time to give a detailed anwser to your intelligent questions.

Some people have a hard time being serious. It is sometimes easier to answer dumb questions because there is no right or wrong answer.

It's much easier to tell a stupid person they are stupid, whereas matching an intelligent question with an intelligent answer is much more dificult.

Often, I think people come onto Y!A to be entertained. I do enjoy the serious question.....It's just that there are so many more of the silly ones!
