Your "resonator" guitar has either an in-body mic style, a body mount transducer or an under-bridge piezo electric pick-up. The equalizer may be active(battery powered) or passive(powered by the small current from the amp through the cable that gives power to the pick-up). Check to see if there is a 9-volt battery in place somewhere- a port around the EQ or visible through the sound hole in the body. It will work with any amplifier with a 1/4 inch jack much like an electric guitar. You will probably find that with the steel body feedback will be a real problem. Watch the volume output level on the guitar itself and adjust your distance from the amp(further is better) and the direction you are facing with the guitar(away from the amp). You will also likely have to use the built-in EQ and the amp tone controls to keep the feedback from being too much of a problem. Experiment and have fun with the unique sound of that "Dobro" style guitar!

Um... in short... YES.

usually you go direct into a mixing board with a direct box. depending on the amp your using will make the biggest change for an electric guitar sound. I tried it with a tube ADA MP-2 and sounded horriable, too muddy. but with the PODxtlive not too shabby. you do have to play with the Eq alot. not to mention to watch out for feedback. hi gain causes problems ;) I use a fender telecoustic. hope this helps.

Yes it can be used that way but it will sound like an acoustic hollow body. It will sound really fretty.
