Friends, maybe. Family, never. I have lost all faith in the judicial system of the U.S.
To send my own flesh and blood into such a screwed up system that favors some and leaves others at a disadvantage is just ridiculous. Why can't people in my family get breaks too?

unfortunately some situations call for this to happen
some times, some family members commit crimes, unspeakable crimes and one would HAVE to call the police, and turn them in so justice can be served and or protect someone from them.
only in certain cases I can see family turning on family
