When downloading one of the categories is Anime. Can anybody tell me what this is please.

Japanese animation - do not confuse this with Disney. Films like Ghost in the shell or Spirited Away which won an oscar are on a par with most Hollywood movies and in a lot of cases are much better.

Dom is partly right in that it is Japanese animation but Dragon Ball Z is not a good example at all. Its garbage. Ghost in the Shell is an excellent example! This partly helped to inspire the Matrix movies!

Anime is another name for Japanese Animation or Japanese cartoon shows. A good example is Dragon Ball Z.

its a japenese type cartoon like shin chan and stuff like that the quality is terrible but the japenese just live with i suppose :D
