I just got acrylics for the first time. Are there certain things I can't do right after I have them done? Like, do I have to wait a few hours before I can wash my hands or cook a meal? And any tips to keep them looking good?

did you get them airbrushed? if so i noticed that it can tend to fade quickly or turn yellow. i purchased a revlon 10 day top coat and it put it on at least everyother day i wash dishes daily etc. and it kept the colour in tact for like 2 weeks! give them a few hours before getting them wet so they have time to settle they can be wet for awhile.

take it from someone who's had accrylic tips for years. once theyre done at the salon, you could do anything. theyre very strong and they dont break easily but playing basketball of field hockey with them, i would NOT suggest :P mayb wait a couple hours before you start doing things like the dishes since theyre pretty sensitive in the beginning and may break. but for me, once they were done, i could do pretty much anything. u could deff wash your hands already, btw :)

You could pretty much do anything... as long as their dry.
They might feel weird to have things on your nails for the first time but you`ll get used to it and when theyre off then it will feel WEIRD.

You must have gone to one of those cheapy nail shops because a real nail tech would have given you a complete lesson on the dos and donts before you left the salon. Oh well, you pay for what you get.

you can do anything once you leave the salon.
just keep getting them filled at the salon.
