I am 16 weeks pregnant, and now my belly is starting to grow! My jeans no longer fit, or they do, just cant button them, then the zipper falls down. I tried a bella band(looks like a tube top, but for your belly), and that no longer holds the zipper. So i am looking for some pants that are stretching but comfy. I have to be able to wear them to work. I work in a casual environment (thank god). Does anyone know where i can find some? I have tried : jcpenney, sears, dillards, kohls, walmart, shopko, and have looked on the internet. The only store i am finding any is at fashion bug. I cant fit into maternity because my belly is not big enough yet. PLEASE HELP ME

I went to motherhood maternity, and none of their pants fit. I am very petite. I was size 3-5 before prenancy.

I had the same problem! I found that Target's Liz Lange collection had some great stuff like stretchy skirts and pants that can be worn early in pregnancy..and would even be good to wear after pregnancy when things aren't back where they should be :) Also...really easy on the bank account. Check online, there's usually pleanty of stuff in the clearance\sale section. Also...not quite as cheap, but Motherhood Maternity can sometimes have some good things. Good luck, and soon enough you'll be comfy in maternity clothes. I hate this "chubby" stage where you don't really look pregnant, just like you've gained a few pounds!

I was in the same situation when I was pregnant (I have a 2 month old). I'm also a naturally petite person. I found some work-appropriate maternity pants at Target that I could wear during that in-between stage and they weren't too baggy. They were super-stretchy and they fit me all the way to the end of my pregnancy. You might also try online. I found some stuff on Old Navy's webiste that was pretty good too. The good news (or maybe bad news :) ) is that it won't be too much longer before you can fit into maternity clothes. Good luck and congrats on your little one!

I second the vote for Motherhood Maternity. Look for the style of maternity pants that are "under belly". These don't have that annoying blue belly panel that goes nearly to your neck, but fit with elastic under your baby bump. You can wear these through your entire pregnancy and post partem, and no one will be able to tell that they're maternity pants.

You can easily find maternity pants that will grow with your belly as your pregnancy progresses. Go the the maternity department of any store or a specialty maternity store...they do have what you need at 16 weeks that will grow with you. I know this to be fact as I found pants in stores early on when I was pregnant and was 'uncomfortable' with my early growing belly in regular pants.

I actually showed very early in my pregnancy as well. I did not have much money to spend on maternity clothes, so I happen to be in Old Navy one day and they have a maternity line that is quite inexpensive. I found the pants to be nice and comfy as well as nice to wear to work. Plus, they always have some great sales.

i would try the motherhood maternity store.. they might have something there just right for you.. it's an awkward stage of your pregnancy.. i know i've been there twice lol.. but soon enough you will be able to perfectly fit into regular maternity pants... if that doesn't work.. go to any department store and go in the womens section they have plenty of elastic wasted pants of all kinds that you can work with.. good luck in your search and the rest of your pregnancy!! :D

Walmart, get the ones that have an elastic with button holes in it. That way when your baby shifts and your belly is suddenly 6" smaller or bigger you just adjust it and your pants don't pinch of fall down. The pair I had were black dressy-ish pants. I wore them for my whole preg.

If that style is too big remember you can cut more button holes ;-)

Lands' End has a pretty good selection of knit pants with elastic waists --
