Yes you can. It is not illegal. But the aluminum bats tend to give you a better performance. The wooden bats are heavier and that slows down your swing.
It is bat speed going through the strike zone that sends the ball further.

Yes you can...wooden bats are not heavier than aluminum as others have stated...each bat, wood or aluminum have maximum weight allowed for official play.

Natch, but requires more muscle. They're heavier than aluminum bats and the ball typically doesn't travel as far.
