If in fact you are gay, then you should only focus on gay men, not your hetero friends, as it may make them uncomfortable at the least, and could lose them as friends at the most. There is nothing wrong with you being gay, and it would be a good idea to inform your hetero friends that you are, just don't hit on them, as that won't work, and no matter how much you want them to, they won't convert, as it is not a choice they make ( was it one for you? ), you are either born gay, or not.

Well first tell your friend your gay and if he is still your friend move on to the next step. Then in simple conversation tell him you like him. If he is your real friend he'll still be your friend after you tell him.
