Here are some responses to my responses:

To "toehead1949": Iraq never attacked us or threatened to attack us, although they did attack Irsrael, but only after we started attacking them after we greenlighted their invasion of Iraq (fact).

To Jarod R: We already do get cheap oil in the middle east via the Saudis and the UAE...actually speaking of this, we probably invaded Iraq to *protect* those resources (the Saudis) from other rising powers (Saddam) so that they could continue to work with the US in screwing the Arabs out of their homelands resources. So you are right from a certain point of view.

To valkoinen soturi: So far, there has been about 50,000 Iraqi's killed and we brought them a civil war and hell on earth...We have only brought death and dispair. In addition, your assertions that I am being "selfish" because I want American tax money spent on Americans, instead of a random country across the world only shows my patriotism and your ability to sell Americans out.

To smiling_sam: you are a complete douche.

To jdm6235: I think you are wrong about having no problem with us spending half a trillion dollar, but I think you have a point about us pulling out early. i don't think we should leave now that we are there, but I don't see why we are there and i think Bush should be held accountable.

To Josh M: It isn't only a waste in my mind, it is a waste in the mind of the majority, which is why we all voted democrat for both the house and senate. Again, most people don't think it is a neccessary evil. YOU think that, but the world does not revolve around you YOU only think it does. To answer your question about serving my country, I actually was going to enlist in the marines after 9/11, but I have developed lung problems from world trade center dusts (I live in NYC near the former world trade center) in retrospect, I'm glad I couldn't enlist, I would have been sent to the wrong country...IRAQ

Way more concerned about the young Americans who gave their life for the cause... We have the means and solutions to our energy needs, only to be discredited by the big oil lobby... They are responsible for the loss of life and resources, they should shoulder the consequences of this bogus war.... The people over there have been having wars for centuries, let them settle it for themselves, and bring our troops home NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a sad fate for the next several generations, that's for sure. The worst part is, and most Americans don't know, is that it was all borrowed money to begin with. Foreign countries own our notes. HeII, they'll probably own the USA someday. Historians say it could take a century before the USA is held in good steed in the international community. IF we don't get another GWB.

This does not take into account the loss of lives and the 20,000+ seriously injured that will require medical attention for life.

History will not be kind to GWB or his republican dominant Congress. In the past 6 years there has been a blank check for spending. Absolutely no oversight. No investigations, what so ever. Unchecked spending. Our foreign policy is dispicable. The international community hates us (with good reason). preemptive war, disregarding the UN's recommendations to wait until weapons inspectors had completed their search for WMD's. By now you've heard what the Baker/Hamilton Report had to say about Iraq.

Baker & Hamilton were interviewing with Larry King & reported that the money we are spending in Iraq, does not compare to the "hidden costs" Americans are not aware of. They were not specific in their findings.

Not one single piece of legislation has been passed that helped a majority of Americans. Domestically, many Bills WERE passed to help the rich & powerful. Large corporations, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, energy & oil companies. Even the Medicare prescription program was designed to help the pharmaceutical companies make million$ more. By the time it was implemented, drug companies had raised the price of meds upwards to 300%. It certainly didn't help those on a fixed
income.

Know what's even more scarey? Where we go from here, will be up to GWB. The person who started it all.

Frankly thats the only good news regarding Americas "lets make the whole world hate us" policy......with any luck the US will bankrupt itself into a third world country......then hopefully the US will stop interfering in the rest of the worlds affairs. Why not build a huge wall around the country.....nobody in, nobody out. Everyone would be so much better off and happier. Unfortunately for americans the natural "must shoot, bomb, kill anything that moves" mentality that half the country seems to have will result in more innocent people being blown to kingdom come at night clubs.

It will be wasted only if we leave to early because Americans are to queasy to hand a few casualties.
It will be wasted if we accept defeat.

For a matter of perspective, terrorist activities in Germany after the fall of Hitler increased dramatically and "werewolves" (former German soldiers who melted back into the population to fight a guerrilla war) were killing people and resisting occupation for over 10 years after we deposed Hitler. This was combated by not covering it in the media so the terrorists could not get the full benefit of their activities. Now every roadside bomb is on the front page and the media seems to brim with glee as they talk about the number of troops who died.
I have no problem with us spending half a trillion dollars
I have a problem with wasting it by pulling out to early.

Bush spent all the money Clinton saved and more. Plus the first time he asked for money to fund the war he said he will not ask for anymore - well guess what happened?

Most of the trillion dollars are in Haliburton's pockets.
Haliburton is Dick Cheney's company, whcih got the Iraqi reconstruction contract without having to bid for it.
In fact they got almost every contract without a bid.

Do you yet see the extent of Bush's lies and scams?

Your question is very biased. What we have tried to do in Iraq has needed doing, and we were the only ones in a position to do it. The money we spend on anything, ever, could always have been spent on something else. Will you waste your life shrieking about what shoulda, woulda, coulda happened, or will you take a positive stand, right now, today, and ENLIST IN THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS? They'll change you from a whiny, spineless little mollusk into a man you can be proud of!

True that is alot of money. However if we do our job in Iraq, that money could come back to us in other ways. If they have freedom in a country in the middle east, then would would be able get cheaper oil from than from other places. And it would be a shinning star for the whole middle east to follow.

When a country has freedom they can have the benifits that it brings, peace prosperity, & knowing that they get to choose the people that represent them.

If we do what needs to be done, then in at least that one country in the middle east there will be relitive peace. Are you aware that freedom costs alot of Blood & money? We paying some of due for them.

Now about the Trillion in Iraq, that is 1 trillion less that the illegals can't take from the country. So for that I'm glad.

Think about this. If there is Peace in the Middle East in Iraq then Isreal might start trade with them. And the world would be a better place. And the place with freedom wouldn't forget for a long time who helped them atain the freedom that they enjoy.

How would that be a bad thing? Also we would have another ally in WW3.

The other day, I was watching that they had a meeting with the Senators, and one of the Senators, I forgot his name was asking the General why they aren't sending anymore troops into Iraq!! I Got so mad. I mean like there is so many troops killed and assasinated in Iraq. That is not right!

Well i wouldn't call it a waste. We brought freedom to them. In the previous elections their 11million iraqi's came out to vote. Percentage wise (voters to total people) thats more voters that Americas been able to bring out after 230 years of practice. All at the cost of 2200, i think, dead and half a trillion dollars.
Instead you are being very selfish and wanting that money to be used for your own benefit instead of helping a country gain Freedom, something that America has had for several centuries.

The citizens of the USA elected Bush twice for a total of eight years.
So they have only themselves to blame.
