The North District of Goa is Panaji (Panjim) and the other one, South District is Margao.

Goa may be divided for the tourist in to two parts but Panjim is just a city in north Goa...
there are 4 main cities in Goa Panjim n Mapusa in the north and Margao & Vasco in the South.
The most famous beach streach in the north si Calangute & in the south is Colva
