1) someone to go to a movie with, or out to dinner with, when friends aren't available.
2) someone to share your dreams with
3) someone to make memories with
4) someone to make your own holiday traditions with
5) someone to go camping with
6) someone to go hiking with
7) someone to make dinner for - not so many leftovers!
8) someone to help make decisions about things in life - sometimes it's scary to deal with things alone.
9) someone to help you when you're sick
10) someone to be there when something really bad happens
11) someone to come get you when your car won't start
This all being said, I like being single. I was married for 18 years, and miss some things about it. :) There is good and bad in both worlds. . . . when I was married I had to decide if I was unhappy more than I was happy, and I decided I was unhappy more of the time, so I got out. I'm not sorry. But sometimes I still miss sharing my life with someone - I have a lot of nice memories and I feel sad we aren't together now. But it's best...

being in a relationship is good you could go through alot when your with somebody you care for and the good point is you will get lots of love and respect, but some bad points is if his not faithful, loyal, true to his word: so if he really loves you

Comfort in every sense of the word. Some one missing you when you are gone. And hopefully a true life partner.

significant other is generally less hard on you then you are on yourself. so, when you ask the person if you look fat, for example, the only way they'll be able to respond to that word trap is with an 'of course not, honey'--no matter what you look like. an automated self-esteem raiser.
