You need an oil sealer, something like Thompson's Water Seal. Or any brand that you prefer, Sico, Behr, they're all fine. You can even use a stain to add colour to your deck that is an oil based protector for wood. You must wash the deck first, and then apply by brush. It should be done every two to three years to protect your deck, and repel the water. Pressure treated wood has preservatives already in it. It will weather not rot.

I've sealed over 100 decks using a product from Sherwin William's called "coopornals". It's been quite a few years since then, but after two years the decks still looked good and did not peel. i would not hesitate to use this product again but ask your sales person which is the right product for you, because if i remember correctly there is two types of coopernals and i can't remember the difference. mark

Wood that is pressure treated already has a preservative in it. that's what pressure treating is. It isn't really necessary to add another . You can use a sealant to repel water etc. there are many types available where you buy your wood. DECKOTE is a good one.

Use a cooper soloutin and apply that with a paint brush. I use this on marine grade plywood on my boats that i have bought.
