I usually just start typing... even if I don't have anything to say, I just type "I don't have anything to say" and so on.. just make youself keep typing and eventually you get warmed up. That, or I listen to music.

First off you are not getting A.D.D. This is normal and you just have to work past it.
Try these things in order until you find something that works.
1. Set a timer for an hour and get your butt in the chair. You may not play or go away until you've written 200 words or that timer goes off. It's far, far easier to write and pretty hard to stop with just 200 words. Doesn't matter what you write so long as you write.
2. Interview your main character. Ask him about his past. How did he grow up? Does he have family? Where does he want to go with his life? What does he like? What does he hate? What does he look like? How does he walk?
3. Interview other characters the same way.
4. When you get stuck on your book, stop and outline the chapters. This is NOT binding, but gives you an idea where you are going and what has to happen. Refer back to it when you get stuck.
5. Decide when your writing time is and get it scheduled. It might be late at night or early in the morning. You might be only able to do it on weekends. Whatever you choose to do, train yourself to be there and ready to write when that time comes around. AND SNARL AT ANYONE WHO INTERFERES WITH IT!

THIS is a wonderful method of clearing up writers block from a book (I cant remember the title darn it).
Every morning get up and write three pages of whatever is in your mind. Use the bathroom, but nothing else. Dont speak to anyone, no coffee, no food, only write.
After about 7 or 8 days the most incredible thing happens.
I did this, and after 8 days I sat down and wrote 2 -3act plays.

I really hope this helps. I ran across this site a couple weeks ago. http://www.beawriter.us there are a couple books with tips and writing activities for young writers. But the website also has a ton of free ideas etc along with a couple chapters that you can download. I purchased the books and as soon as I get them from amazon i'll write up a review. Good Luck.

Give your little gray cells a break. Your "muse" is! Only exercise I could suggest, would be to write SOMETHING, your journal, a letter--whatever comes to your mind without forcing it. If you're a writer, you enjoy writing, right? (!) So, either do something else, or don't write in "serious" mode, (to be published). It always comes back! Go with the flow & good luck!

What has helped me is answering questions on a subject of interest. For instance, my husband and I had an unusual introduction, courtship and engagement. When I am asked how we met, I find it fun to tell my story.
Perhaps there is some special incident in your own life that would be a good subject to explore in writing.
Hope this helps a little.

I watch movies, then take one of My characters and think about what they would do in the situation, I usually get some good ideas out of there, or reading other stories, or ... this is weird... but I dream up some good stuff

Take a break from it! Go for a walk, go look at the Christmas decorations or lights around your town. Most important, don't stress yourself out over it. It WILL come back to you!!!Good luck!

LSD may help.
I sugest that you review a CD. Listen to the Worst of Airplane by Jefferson Airplane. They may have used this drug with some success, just listen carefully to the words in most of the lyrics. That was creative writing with an assistance of some drug.
