i do have my best friends the ones who are with out a doubt true, but i just cant really tell with the others or even figure out how to handle it.

We have been through all these! Friends who are just freeloaders, users etc. Set them all aside and let them remain friends but put your foot down and do not let em use you.

I have been using what Stallone said in a movie "DTA" !!! And it is working so well with my daughter right now! It is Don't Trust Anybody! Even yur best friend now might be using you! So if you want a win-win situation watch your every move and theirs-but enjoy their company !But don't buy friends.or do them favours all the time.

Our rule now is- if we go to a bar we should be aware who is picking the tab or Dutch treat! either way no one gets hurt. Now if I do somebody a favor-you have to gauge how heavy the favor is and remind him/her that there will be a time for PAYBACK.

In all these process you will be able to filter who should be the ones who will be your best man or your bridesmaid. So stop being paranoid and enjoy their company at the same
time save those money coz nowadays people respect ONE who has money and THE ONE who has plenty of Mooolahh gets a lot of friends! You'll see!

ENJOY!

leave ur car at home for a week or so,,, see who gives u a ride....i noticed that when u dont have a car a lot of the "friends" just disappear.... thats one way to know what your friends intentions are... also act as if ur on a tight budget and u hardly have enough cash for urself,, thts another way to get rid of the advantage seekers...just play it right

Get rid of the moochers, they do not want to be your friend let alone give a damn about you. Who offers gas money? Who offers to buy you lunch or dinner? Who offers you something? Those are your friends because they have your interest in mind also.

I have had "friends" like that and you just need to realize the ones who are truly always there for you. Don't let anybody walk all over you. You are worth way more than that.

I would say the next time they ask you something, unless it's an emergency, just say no. See how they react. If they continue to ask you, just say no again and again. If they are really your friend, they will continue to hang out with you even after you say no.

Say no nicely to everyone for 1 month, maybe 2. WHo ever is left standing is your friend.
Give an excuse, car is broken, money is gone, have band practice.
But say no.
Call it your personal social experiment.
