You need to be able to cultivate a relationship with the customer. The goal of selling is to build relationships so that you have repeat customers who keep coming back to see you; THEIR sales associate. So, you'll need to be friendly and informative(which means you need to learn all you can learn about whatever it is your selling). You don't want to crowd the customer, but you want to let them know that you're available to help them.
Be Helpful, Be Friendly, Be interested, and Be informed.

First, communication. Your writing is terrible. You see the "check spelling" button? Use it. You may make a great sale, and then write a follow up letter and they will wonder, what kind of an under educated person am I doing business with?
Communication.
Second, read how to close a sale. Read, Learn to swim with the sharks without being eaten, by...oh his name is McKay.
Listening.
This is more important than speaking. Learn to ask open ended questions. Don't ask something that can be answered yes or no.
Mr. Smith, do you need more widgets this month?
BAD
Mr. Smith, how do you use widgets in your business?
Listen, Listen Listen, Ask, Ask, Ask.
Speak effecitvely, with good grammer (if you are rusty brush up)
Don't pussy out on this information. You can make over 100K easily in sales, but not if you pussy out.
