Absolutely not. You know what they say... New Year's Eve is amateur night.

Get a bottle of bubbly.... get the bubble bath and candles ready... and relax. Start a journal. And enjoy yourself.
You deserve it.

No it's not. Why not invite a few other friends over and have a party at your house. I have spent several New Years eve's home alone I lived thru it and so will you. If you don't have anyone to spend the time with then go rent your fave movies and get take out and have your own party by yourself.

No it is not. It is a lot more pathetic to spend it with someone who you don't like for simple reason of not wanting to be alone.

Not a bit...people should spend it as they desire...why would it be pathetic? At home you are safe from the drunk drivers/partiers out there anyway...

I've spent many home alone...and many out partying...never felt or was pathetic...

Nope, that's what I'm doing. I'll go out to eat, sit at my computer for a while, then watch the ball drop. All in the comfort of my own home by myself, away from the craziness.

No. I prefer it. I don't have to worry about all the drunks on the road. I light some candles, fix myself something special for dinner and watch one of my favorite movies like, 'The Fabulous Baker Boys.' with Jeff & Beau Bridges and Michelle Pfeiffer. It's sooo good.

I'm facing the same fate. Just try to treat the day like any other day and move on with life. Or...if you're in central Texas, give me a call. :-)
