1) Distribute and solve for x.
-x + 3 - 4x + 4 = 22
-5x = 15
x = -3

2) Not sure what you mean by (b-a to the power of zero). If it is (b-a)^0 then that = 1. Also not sure what you mean by x = -2, b = -3. Is it part of the equation or not?

3) Just substitute x and y.
(-3(-2) - (-4)^2)*(-(-4)-(-2))*(3(-2))
= -22*6*-6
= 792

Alright, first replace all you variables (letters) with the numbers replacing them. Then you want to simplify and solve. The answers I got were as follows:
A: -3
B: 42
C: -18
I hope this helps you and I hope that you also learn how to solve these. Remember always ask for help if you need it.
