110 years from now everyone will be asking the same question. As oil increases in price it becomes more and more feasible to prospect and extract oil that hasn't been counted as reserves due to the high cost of extracting it. Same thing with alternative fuels like ethanol and biodiesel . Price of fuel rises and at some point ethanol becomes competetive. Electric cars - same deal.
you'll still be able to drive bubba its just going to cost more and more and more.

We're still discovering more oil, and if we were only allowed to drill in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska, among other places, we'll have much more than ten years before it all runs out.

The likely scenario is that the oil supply will gradually disappear as one well after another goes dry. The high oil prices will make other sources of energy more efficient and profitable, and encourage research to develop alternate fuel sources, if indeed they haven't already been discovered by then.

Coal to Oil plants seem like a promising technology, as does hydrogen. I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Maybe we would have alternate energy sources if Al Gore was president, maybe not, but we wouldn't survive long enough for it to matter when we were overrun by Muslims because of his unwillingness to resort to military force.

What are Americas chances for survival when the oil runs out about 10 years from now?

P.S.
Canada has plenty of it for our survival – We have no friends – We have only interest – Most likely next sacrifice ‘C A N A D A’

Here's a good blog post on the topic

I think our chances for survival are great. I would not bet against human ingenuity and the market order. Are we just going to lie down and die? No, we will develop alternatives, or adopt existing alternatives as they become increasingly attractive vs. increasingly expensive oil.

Ok, let your fascist leaders continue to control things and America is in big trouble.

Let Al Gore and others take their rightful place in the name of humanity and other energies will be developed.

Wind power is being used everywhere now. There's solar power and a number of other alternatives. Never worry. Just make the proper choices when you are voting for leaders.
