If humans didn't have eyes we wouldn't see and the universe would take on a completely different form to us...

Question

Could it be possible that there are other senses we haven't evolved the ability to use which means the universe we percieve currently is in fact not the true universe - but a universe what's created by our limited senses to suit human beings?

Think about it. If sight didn't exist a whole platform of what humans can comprehend would be missing. Is it possible other senses could exist what would open up yet another gate towards comprehending the existence of life or the universe in general?

Well some animals we already know have senses that we don't have. Dolphins and bats have sonar. Pit vipers have pits that detect heat. Sharks detect the electric current. Migratory birds have some kind of internal compass. And peter parker has spider sense.

But the fact remains that we live in the same universe as these animals. We just perceive things differently.

Also, just for fun, read Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis which suggests that we lost the "sense" that we are supposed to have to actually see and talk to the spirit world.

Our perception, based mostly on sight, is not wrong, only incomplete on a personal level. However, humanity has expanded its perception through technology, exploring the universe through x-rays, sound waves, non-visible light, etc.

YES! not to sound religious-but my belief in God allows me to see things spiritual and not with the natural eye. so when i look at what's going on in the world i don't just see it plain. I believe in prayer, and when prayer was taken out of the schools I could see the enemy "thinking" he had the upper hand...shootings and bombings in schools etc... and when i closed my eyes to the natural God opened them up to the spiritual...so now I walk by faith and not by sight
