What are the best type of head/ear phones??

ear bud=hidden (for those listening to music during a class/meeting/or conferance), small, suprizingly loud and clear, comfortable, fasionable.
the over the ear ones can eventually feel uncomfortable.
over the head can interfere with hats and hair
stereo headphones are expensive, way to large, but best sound quality.
ear canal ones suck, they are hard to get in, uncomfortable, and not that much of an improvement, no matter what the packaging promises
