Definitely SEC. Most other conference champs wouldn't finish in the top half of the SEC. It's impossible to get through the SEC undefeated because the top teams all beat the crap out of each other week in and week out. But I suspect both Ohio St and Michigan would have 2-3 losses or more if they had to face that SEC grind -- and I look forward to the SEC teams going 3-0 against the Big 10 this bowl season. I also think the USC-Arkansas game was a bit of a fluke -- first game of the season, no McFadden, no QB, brand new offense. Look at the NFL -- those things happen in football, good teams have bad days.

Well here's the thing with your theory on USC, Arkansas didn't have a strong defense all year, and when they played USC they had to play without their heisman canidate, Darren McFadden, whom USC's average (and yes they are average) defense would not be able to shut down. The Big 12 IS weak. Notre Dame is overrated, they lost every big game. And you can't tell me that Oregon State and UCLA are great teams. The SEC has 9 of 12 teams going to a bowl game. It also has 4 teams in the top 15 of the BCS standings. Each of these teams lost to each other by the way, and it should have 3 teams in a BCS bowl, but Auburn couldn't get in because although they were ranked higher than Notre Dame, they couldn't get in the bowl.

PAC 10? with your answer I don't even know if I should voice mine here, but SEC look at the numbers. And for those that point to the USC-Arkansas game remember McFadden had his toe surgically reattached two months before, he would have made a huge difference made Arkansas more of a passing team than they were comfortable with

The Big Ten is definitely the strongest conference. The SEC and Pac 10 teams aren't as tough as they are made out to be. USC is way overrated. They lost to 2 unranked teams this year!!

every year it varies. people come and go within a team. this year by far is the SEC. no one even comes in a close second. no even the big 10 or 12 or pac 10. early in the preseason the SEC was favored and kept it all year even though Mich came out of no where for the big 10. if maybe iowa had kept playin like they were sayin in the preseason then i would say the big 10 would had come in second but no. i would say the big east yes the big east is second with the pac 10 comin in last on bowl conferences.

As a USC fan, I grudgingly admit the SEC is the strongest top to bottom.

As yes SAM S - USC DID beat the snot out of Arkansas.

Pac 10 is........for all you florida fans who think your team is so bad *** just because they're in the SEC, think again. Ohio State, Michigan, and USC would destroy everybody in theSEC. You know what I think, the SEC was a bunch of shitty teams playing eachother this year makin' it look like it was a tough conference. No SEC team suprised me this year. Hell, Wisconsin would kill Florida also. The SEC ***** SUX.
