Does anyone know the game where one person says "Bang", "Bang" and so on? How does it work?

This was driving me crazy today because a bunch of people were doing it and I had no idea how it worked. Help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

They would say who they killed any it could be anyone, regardless of the number of "bangs" they said or where they looked.
