It depends on your view, if you are a baseball purist than you should believe as I do that the name on the front of the jersey is more important than the name on the back! In other words the team is more important than the individual!!

I liked it better without the names because it meant that the team was more important than the individual. That's the way it should always be. Other people were just complaining that they wanted the names back. I had no problem with it. I always knew who the players were without the names. Like some of the other people already said Real fans know their players with or without the names on the jerseys.

Aren't there real fans out there that know the players by their numbers anymore? How hard can it be to pay attention to the little details?
Get out during batting practice and try to tell who is up when they are wearing warmup gear. All you have to go by is the batting stance, swing and their face.
Red Sox, Yankee and Cub fans don't have a problem with it.

I am indifferent when it comes to something like this. Besides, with all the hi-def scoreboards around MLB, fans can just look up to them to put a number with a name.

From a fans perspective, no. But, they are supposed to bring the names back this year.

No. I think it was a bad idea. Unless you can memorize every players number then they should have their last names so the fans can easily identify them.
