When the author has a bias or is biased in his/her journalism it means usually that the author has an opinion about the subject matter and is letting that opinion or agenda inform his/her writing. So the journalist would try to persuad with their writing or argue or support of position with regard to the writing rather than just reporting what happened or both sides of the debate. I hope this helps.

It just means the reader doesn't like the story and is a cry baby. People use bias to describe 'lies' and 'distortion' of facts to support one particular ideology, political party...etc. This term is usually over used and in many cases used when people just don't like someone because of any reason they can think of.

Yup. It means they favor one side over the other. It can be for many reasons - preconceived notions, cultural background, political background, etc. Being completely unbiased is really a hard thing if you think about it.

YES, that is why at times we hear it was an "unbiased" report. It favored neither side.
