On the ice. I have been a hockey coach and player for numerous years and through my experience and a number of stat sheets more goals are scored low to the ice. Garbage goals ( rebounds, deflections, or even bad bounces) almost always go in the net low to the ice.

I agree with low to the ice.
More obstacles between the goalie's eyes and the puck.
More obstacles for the puck to deflect off .
Most sticks are on the ice now for tip ins.
More area avialable for pucks to go in if tipped upward.
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Shooting high adds distance.

Depends on what style the goalie plays. If it's butterfly, it's pretty hard to score through the five-hole.

it all depends on the goalies size and style. if he is a standup style shoot low because he will hesitate to go down.but if he is like most goalies he is a butterfly style either shoot high blocker side or get him to move side to side and try your luck down low. you can do this by dekeing, passing the puck to the otherside of the net, or if you are fast enough oyou can try the wrap around

since most goalies are floppers, I'd say up high, over the shoulder.
