I had originally planned to donate $100 this month to a ministry that has given me teaching tapes when I couldn't afford the full price. In the meantime, I have learned that an employed family member (who does not manage money well) has had hard times after going without power for 4 days and losing all perishable food. Also, an employed friend is going through a divorce and is concerned that her child may not have much for Christmas. How would you handle this situation, and why would you handle it that way?

Give the employed family member a $20 gift card to a local grocery store. Go to the Dollar store get the child a toy or two and give the rest to the ministry that helped you out maybe he can help someone else with your donation.
