this didnt happen to me but to a friend of mine. and now she is afraid to travel anywhere alone....i wouldnt blame her.....shes always in groups and so i was just wonderin wat u guys would do or if u had any helpful hints
i really love her, and she doesnt have a bf right now all she has is her friends to protect her

Most of the time people like HIM are just bluffing! OK! But a threat is a threat and should not be taken lightly. It is like a bomb scare on planes-either it is a hoax or not security has to do a protocol to prevent injuries or possibly death.
Now in your situation you have to inform the cops about it and possibly get a restraining order-which would cost you money for a lawyer to get. I suggest you inform the cops about it and try to get some proof (bec the cops will ask for it),either you record the phone call or video when he visits the house and makes the threat.You now have the burden of PROOF.
Most likely it is nothing-most often than not he is just angry!-you don't announce your intention of killing somebody right? You just do it! He is trying to scare your friend to get what he really wants-possibly get the mom back,or get back at the mom etc.
Your friend has to be tough i.e. call his bluff "OK you want to kill me just do it!" at the same time be careful and take all the precautions coz he might really be crazy and do it. KNow when not to provoke him. But if he is bluffing and feels that his bluff is going nowhere he will stop.
Most of the time people like HIM will just get you scared and if he doesn't achieve it either he will stop and he will find another way. Either way when he gets mad you win coz you will be able to get the proof that you want.
In everything that you do now-BE CAREFUL! Change your daily routine(i.e) the time when you leave the house.the places you go to,change the locks,the buses you take,where you park your car etc.but relax and avoid being so paranoid coz it will affect your health.
Mail me your location if ever things get out of hand and we will try to help. But I think he is nothing but a bluff,until we get his profile we will never know if he is serious or not.

Call the cops. His threats can be considered terroristic and that'll put him away for quite a while. Talk your friend into going to self-defense classes or getting (and knowing how to properly handle) a gun. She has every right to defend herself and her children, even if her friends aren't around.
Right now, he's holding her down with fear and she has the right to feel secure in her life, no matter what anyone else does.

She needs to put a expartay or called a restraining order on him. And if he breaks it in any way call him in. Always have people around and keep a record if he calls write it down don't talk to this man though. Let the answering machine pick it up, if he drives by the house write it down date and time on everything. Hang him by the balls.

yea cops is the best answer. there are crazy people out there so you cant be sure if they are telling the truth or not. And i wouldnt let your friend be alone at all times if possible.

get a restraning order, this will not let him near her, and if he does she needs atomatic 911 calls. Like on speed dial or something. You are doing a great job as a friend

I WOULD CALL DA COPS AND HAVE THEM PUT THEM UNDER A WITTNES PROTECTION OR SUMTHIN LIKE DAT AND HAVE DEM CHANGE THEIR IDNTITY OR IF HE CALLS LIKE ALL THE TIME THREATIN HER HAVE THEM DO THAT THING WHERE THEY CHRASE DA CALL OR GET WATCH DOGS BUT BETTER OFF WITH COPS MA BE BOTH JUST CALL DA COPS
